How Do You Capture A Monkey

The Progressive Nature of Sin

Study Guide

This book and study guide is written to be a disrupter, to prompt people to discuss sin in a way they have never discussed it before. We often define this word in simple terms; however, the regulation of this word on our lives is often not so simple, and the eradication of sin from our lives is even more difficult. I believe it’s time we have a discussion about the complexities of this three-letter word called sin, and I believe we can begin with the model found in this book. The question we must ask ourselves is: Could there be a well-thought-out trap to capture our souls?

Meet the Man Behind the Message

A father, grandfather, pastor, and author—guided by faith and purpose.

Family Is My Foundation

I’m the proud father of three adult children and five amazing grandchildren. Their individuality reminds me daily of the beauty in God’s design. Family grounds me, fuels my writing, and deepens my understanding of love and legacy.

Called to Serve, Called to Speak

As a pastor and public speaker, I’ve met countless believers who love God deeply but still feel disconnected from their true calling. I believe that when we don’t walk in our purpose, something vital is missing. Whether you’re called to love, to encourage, or to heal—your calling matters.

Writing as a Spiritual Practice

Writing is more than craft—it’s a calling. Each word I write humbles me before God and stretches me in my faith. My work, including How Do You Capture A Monkey, is designed to challenge, equip, and awaken the soul.

A Book Born of Urgency and Love

My latest book is a study guide meant to do more than inform—it’s meant to transform. Through conversations on sin, addiction, and spiritual traps, I pray this resource helps groups and individuals confront what holds them back and rediscover their power in God.

This Is Your Season to Walk in Calling

I believe this is a time of spiritual urgency. My hope is that churches and small groups around the world will use this book not because I wrote it, but because the message was divinely inspired.

Now is the time to rise, reclaim what’s been stolen, and live fully in your God-given purpose.

Small Group Study Guide

This book was written as a study guide to stimulate discussion on a topic that impacts everyone of us. Sin does not discriminate based on race, gender or religion. The only way we can combat it’s impact on our lives is by exposing it. Unpacking and uncovering its progressive nature.

How Do You Capture A Monkey, engages small groups with a series of questions after each chapter to discuss and reflect on where they are at in the 5-step progressive nature of sin model.

A Journey Through Thought A Look at Family Life and Negritude

This book is Dr. McMicheaux’s memoir spanning over 25 years of thoughts, and legacy on paper. A Journey Through Thought touches on family, life, and negritude through quotes, poems, and short stories, seen through the eyes of the author.

Daddy’s Little Guls: Big Girl’s Special Day

This is one of the books in the Daddy’s Little Guls series, sharing stories about raising two little girls as a single dad. Most of the information I found on the topic of the menstrual cycle or Special Day as I call it, was technical. I needed something age appropriate and fun addressing a females coming of age. So I wrote my own children’s book for all family’s to make this a conversation easy and informative.
